I had my transfer orientation for college yesterday.
I'm trying to not be super anxious about this fall, but I can't help it! This is new ground for me. I went to college here in town because I could just drive to class from my home (and so I could get a lot of the core classes out of the way).
Now, I'm going to be living in a dorm. Away from home.
I've never really spent a long time away from home, only for a short time during space camp in 7th grade. I'm going to try to not get homesick, but I'm not sure if I can do that.
I get to do some classes that seem fun, like a 3D animation class and the media classes for my major (media production). I don't think campus life will be BORING. There's a lot to do there. One of my only gripes is with how big the campus is. It feels like it never ends.
My move-in is in August, on the 16th. Not even two full months. I at least get to have a single room, so that's nice (even though I had to get a letter from my doctor just to get that accommodation. A very annoying process).
I guess this is a way to say that site updates and blog posts might slow down for a bit starting in August. I'll have my laptop with me, so it's not like I'll never update again. I just won't be focusing as much on updating my webpage.
All the best, Nikki
